Account security

Three layers protect your login: TLS encryption of every connection, two-factor authentication and unlocking with your phone. You manage them from your account area, next to the responsible gambling options.

Two-factor authentication

You switch it on with an authenticator app, and Google Authenticator, Authy and Microsoft Authenticator all work. The app creates a six-digit code that renews every 30 seconds, and you enter it after your password.

When you activate it, twelve backup codes are issued. Keep them away from your phone, on paper for example, so you can get back in after changing handsets. The code is also needed to switch the protection off, so nobody else can remove it.

Unlocking with your phone

In the app, your fingerprint or Face ID can open the session instead of the password. The biometric data stays on the phone, and Starzino receives no copy of it, only a confirmation from the device.

The password stays available as a fallback if the sensor does not recognise you, for example with wet fingers or after a restart.

Verification

Identity verification is required before your first withdrawal, and further checks can be requested later. We ask for a passport or a UK photocard driving licence as a colour photo, a selfie and a proof of address no older than 3 months, such as a utility bill, a council tax bill or a bank statement.

For withdrawals we also need the details of your payment method or your sort code and account number. The check is completed within 24 hours of receiving all the documents, and you can upload them in advance in the Verification section.

Ways to log in

Starzino offers two ways to log in: your email address and password, or one of the quick buttons for Apple, Google and Telegram. The form also carries a Forgot password? link, and new players use the Sign up button in the header.

The same details open the same account on a computer, in a mobile browser and in the app, and the account currency stays GBP. Log out when you finish on a shared device, because an open session would stay available to the next person.

Logging in step by step

The steps are the same on every device: you enter your details, confirm who you are and land in the lobby, with the cashier, the Star Club and the sportsbook one tap away. One account works everywhere, so your GBP balance and history are always the same.

On a computer

Open Starzino in your browser and click Log in in the top right corner. Enter your email address and password, or press the Apple, Google or Telegram button, and confirm.

If two-factor authentication is switched on, the site then asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app. Once it is accepted, you return to the page you came from, with your balance showing in the header.

In a mobile browser

On a phone, open the menu and tap Log in. The form is the same and its fields fit your screen, so you can type with your thumb. You then see the same lobby as on a computer, with your balance, your bonuses and the site menu.

A session left idle is logged out after 25 minutes, and it otherwise stays open until you log out.

In the app

The app’s login screen shows the same form as the site. You sign in with the details you registered with, and your fingerprint or Face ID can open the session instead of the password.

The unlock does not replace the two-factor code when that protection is on. The app also holds the Secret Bonuses, which you see only after logging in.

Can’t log in to Star zino? Common fixes

Most problems come down to a forgotten password, a temporary block or a code the site rejects. Each has a quick fix, and support steps in when the fix is not enough.

Resetting a forgotten password

Click Log in, then Forgot password?, enter the email address you registered with and click Send. The email holds a link that stays valid for 24 hours. Open it, type the new password twice and click Save.

If the message is slow, look in your junk folder and check that you typed the right address. Choose a password you use nowhere else, then log in again.

A temporary block

After 5 failed attempts, access is blocked for 20 minutes. Wait for the delay to pass instead of trying again at once, and reset the password if you are not sure of it, because a Star zino account is quicker to recover that way than by guessing.

A session left idle is logged out after 25 minutes, so a page may ask for your details again even though nothing is wrong.

A code that is refused

Check the clock on your phone first. The six-digit codes change every 30 seconds and rely on accurate time, so a handset running slow produces codes that fail. Switch on automatic date and time, then enter the next code.

If the authenticator app is gone, use one of the twelve backup codes issued at activation.

Reaching support
